Bus company bringing jobs to Morristown
A large Belgian bus manufacturer will locate in Morristown and create nearly 640 jobs over the next five years. Van Hool, builds buses, coaches and industrial vehicles for US transit companies. The firm will invest $47 million in a half million foot plant in the East Tennessee Progress Center off Highway 25E. The facility is expected to be in operation by early 2020, and expects to produce 500 buses a year initially. Governor Bill Haslam was in Mossistown on Thursday for the announcement.
