Girl sent to UT following dog bite
A nine year-old girl was sent to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, following a dog bite Saturday evening. Lisa Caylor of Piney Mountain Road, Newport, told Deputy Wesley Keys that she and her daughter, Alycia were at the Joey Owing residence ob Blue Mill Road in Del Rio when Owing's dog bit her daughter on the face and neck. Owings told Deputy Keys that his dog had never before been aggressive toward anyone, adding that his children and grandchildren often play with the animal. Ms. Caylor later told deputies that her daughter is doing well.
