Gomez search
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is asking for assistance in locating an individual wanted for questioning in a Saturday assault. At 10:30 pm,deputies responded to a domestic disturbance located on Splatter Creek Road in the Limestone community. There officers found an unconscious female outside the home. She was transported to Johnson City Medical Center for treatment but later died. Officers also found a male subject, who had been assaulted but with no visible injuries. The suspect, Humberto “Paulino” Gomez, 52, had fled on foot prior to officers’ arrival and is still at large. He is described as a Hispanic male with a large, bushy mustache and thick black hair. Gomez was charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault however additional charges are pending at this time. At last report the Greene County Sheriff's Department was actively attempting to locate Gomez who was last known to be on foot in the Splatter Creek/Limestone/Clear Springs area of Greene County. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous! And members of the public should not attempt to apprehend him. If you see Gomez, call 911 immediately.
