Missing Retreivers
Newport authorities are looking for two dogs reported stolen Thursday from Smithwood Drive. Lori Elizabeth Pierce told Patrol Officer Mike Robey that her dogs went missing while she worked in her garden during the afternoon hours. Pierce said she searched the neighborhood for three hours but could not find her pets. A neighbor reported hearing a man whistle for the dogs before they were discovered missing. One of the dogs is a seven month-old, cream colored Retriever and the other is an 11 month-old Red Golden Retriever. Each is valued at $2,000.
