Tiny Homes purchases former Ace Products site Incredible Tiny Homes has purchased the former Ace Products property on Industrial Road in Newport, and announced Friday it will relocate from Morristown to Newport in the near future. Partnership President Lucas Graham had earlier said the firm will pay $183,700 for the 34.4 acres, with a $20,000 down payment. The loan will be paid off over a five year period. Graham said the firm is in a "massive growth stage and their orders are increasing" anticipating the creation of 30 jobs. Because many of the firm's customers are in the midwest, having access to a rail spur was important. "Much preparation must be done, starting with construction and infrastructure on the property," said owner Randy Jones. He expressed appreciation to Partnership and Cocke County officials who facilitated the move and "for the support and warm welcome we have received in making Incredible Tiny Homes a part of Cocke County". According to Jones, his company has a 40,000+ following on Facebook, has received national recognition from HGTV and other tiny home shows. "It is our hope that we make Newport, TN the Tiny Home Capital of the United States! We will be building a Tiny Home Community on the property in hopes of bringing tourists to visit our campground, and in addition, we will be promoting our monthly workshops where anyone can come into our facility and build their own home in 6 days." Jones says the move will mean more job opportunities for the residents of Cocke County, "and once we are settled, we will be announcing an Open House for the local community to come and visit."
