Indecent exposure arrests
Two men were jailed Thursday by Newport police in separate indecent exposure incidents. Just before 9 am, Sgt. Billy Woody arrested Ricky Earl Solomon, 44, Lamaster Street, Newport, who allegedly exposed himself to motorists as he sat on a bench in front of Stokley Memorial Library on East Broadway. The subject reportedly was intoxicated and now faces charges of Indecent Exposure, Disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication. Solomon also was wanted on two counts Probation Violation. Patrol Officer Paul Weber at 10 am responded to Ford's Cruz Thru, West Broadway on a report that a man drove through the business wearing nothing but a baseball cap. Officer Weber was called back to the business at 3 pm on a similar complaint. Officer Weber arrested David Joe Oliver, 63, East Highway 25/70, Dandridge a short time later. When he was stopped Oliver was wearing only thong underwear. He was jailed on two counts of Indecent Exposure.
