Farm tractor fire
A wiring issue is suspected in a Thursday fire which destroyed a farm tractor on the Roy Kirby farm in Bybee. Cocke County Firefighter Alex Reese tells the NewsSource his agency was notified of the fire on Fowlers Grove Raod at 9:13 am. Upon arrival, firemen found the tractor fully engulfed in flame, attached to a hay baler and within ten feet of the home. Reese said firefighters including those from the Centerview Volunteer Fire Department were able to prevent the fire from spreading and the home and baler were undamaged. The destroyed 1998 John Deere was valued at $15,000.
