Willis death
A South Carolina man was found dead under his farm tractor Tuesday on his property in Cocke County. Cocke County Deputy Kevin Ball identified the victim as Mason Everette Willis, 73, Charleston, SC. The officer responded to the victim's property on Woodlark Way in the Parrottsville community just before 4 pm, after he was contacted by a family member, Adam Willis. Deputy Ball said the victim was under the tractor with the left wheel partially on him. "It appears the victim had some type of health issue and then either slid or fell from the tractor," the officer said. Willis had been at his cabin since June 7, but family members say they had not heard from him since Sunday evening. Investigators were told the victim had a history of medical issues. The body was taken to the Newport Medical Center and the investigation by the sheriff's department is continuing.
