Dover arrest
A Newport man who allegedly entered the Dollar General store in the Western Plaza on Thursday to take a bath, now faces charges. Store employees told Newport Patrol Officer Paul Weber that the man, later identified as Donald Dover, 43, Woods Street, entered the employee area. A clerk a short time later found the totally naked Dover washing himself off with Clorox and water from the store's mop bucket. Then Dover put on a pair of shorts which employees say he had stolen from the store, leaving his clothes behind. When police were called, the clerks said Dover became hostile. Officer Weber jailed the suspect on charges of Larceny and Theft, Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct.
