Sisk jail escape arrest
A Cocke County Jail inmate faces an escape charge following an alleged escape on Monday. Court Bailiff John French said he was told by Probation Officer Loretta Grooms that inmate Stacy Darlene Sisk, 33, Canal Way, Newport, has escaped from a courthouse restroom where she had bee taken for a court ordered urine drug test. Sisk allegedly ran down the courthouse steps and was observed in a vehicle with another female in the parking lot. Bailiff French stepped into the path of the auto and took Sisk into custody. The suspect told officers she left "to get a money order for her probation fees." She was handcuffed, returned to jail and charged.
