Blake Shelton on Ole Red Country star Blake Shelton was in Gatlinburg on Tuesday to promote his Ole Red restaurant and entertainment complex which is to open in March 2019. The musician talked about his hopes for the atmosphere in the restaurant. "It needs to feel like country music used to feel, and I don’t mean hokey," he said. "I just mean like country music used to be an experience and a story, an event and a place you kind of went to in your mind when you listened to it. And like the song 'Ol' Red,' I want the venue to feel like that when you walk into it. that’s what I hope for.”
