Roe on Kavanaugh
Tennessee Congressman Phil Roe is reacting to the sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The Republican Congressman says he thinks the nominee will be confirmed. "He has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate before. You don't get on a federal bench without confirmation and background checks. And it just seems a bit shady to me that five days before the vote in the Senate on the Senate Judiciary Committee that this would just suddenly show up," Congressman Roe said. Kavanaugh has denied the allegation that he tried to take off the clothes of a female friend. The nominee and his accuser are scheduled to testify in a public hearing next week.
