Reardon/Sanchez crash
Both drivers were injured in a Tuesday morning head-on collision on South Highway 321 in Cocke County, just south of the Foothills Parkway. The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Steven Reardon, 56, Cosby, operating a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, pulled off the roadway on the left to plug up his phone charger at 7:30 am. As Reardon re-entered the highway, he was hit head-on by a 2010 Ford pickup operated by Julian Sanchez, 54, Sevierville. Medical personnel and first responders were on the scene till 9:30 am. First Call EMS transported Reardon to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville, and also transported Sanchez to the Newport Medical Center. No charges were filed.
