Inmates charged
Two Cocke County Jail inmates over the weekend were served warrants on separate charges. Jonathan Carl Hill, 30, Palmer Hollow Road, Bybee, was search by Corrections Officer Joshua Boyce, when a clear plastic was observed protruding from a body cavity. Deputy Heath Willis said further investigation revealed that the plastic contained three Oxycodone pills. As a result Hill was charged with Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance in a penal institution. Inmate Courtney Freeman, 28, Spar Road, Hartford, was served with a warrant charging her with Assault on October 9. Deputy Daniel Smith said the warrant obtained by Officer Lt. Rachael Finchum, alleges that Freeman assaulted inmate Jennifer Allen. Officer Finchum said when Allen was removed from her cell, she was bleeding from her forehead.
