Jeff County meth bust
Jefferson County authorities have charged 24 individuals in connection with the recent seizure of three kilos of Methamphetamine. Sheriff Jeff Coffey said the Methamphetamine was seized on October 30 following an investigation by the Criminal Investigation and Correctional divisions of the Sheriff's Office. " We were assisted by the Fourth Judicial Drug Task Force, FBI, ATF, DEA, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol. A federal investigation is ongoing with further charges pending," he said. Sheriff Coffey declined to release the names of those charged or additional information regarding the investigation, saying the identities of the suspects will be released after federal charges are filed and the investigation has been completed.
