Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Dinner The annual Thanksgiving Home Delivered Meal Program for Senior Citizens 60/Older will again be offered this year by the Cocke County Office on Aging. You can register today for your Thanksgiving Meal, and the deadline to register is November 16th. To register for a meal or to volunteer call with your name, address, birthdate and phone number; Carlene Robinson at (423) 623-7296 ext. 4 This service is provided to senior citizens 60 and older through the Cocke County Office on Aging with the generous support of local donations. The meals will be delivered on Thanksgiving morning before noon or shortly thereafter, and you must be home to receive the meal. "We appreciate monetary donations for the project and we could use some desserts that can be individually wrapped. We welcome volunteers to help package/or deliver the meals. Volunteer’s commitment for this project is on average 3 to 4 hours on Thanksgiving Day," says Robinson. Donations can be mailed to the Cocke County Office on Aging, 386 East Main Street, Newport, TN 37821. Make checks payable to the Cocke County Office on Aging. "Every year for the last seven years we have met senior citizens needs with collective resources," says Robinson." May you reap one hundredfold the goodness that you sow. Happy Thanksgiving!"
