Parrottsville and Del Rio festivities
Both Parrottsville and Del Rio communities have holiday activities planned for Saturday. The Parrottsville Christmas Parade, sponsored by the Parrottsville Ruritan Club, is scheduled for 3 pm, beginning at the Parrottsville Elementary School staging area. The parade with a theme of Rockin Around The Christmas Tree, will continue on Old Highway 321 through Parrottsville. Following the parade, Santa Claus will be at the Parrott-Larue-Myers Park. The City of Parrottsville will have it's tree lighting ceremony on this evening at 6 pm at Parrott-Larue-Myers Park. Information is available at 865-919-2338. The 11th. Annual Del Rio Christmas Bazaar also is planned for Saturday, 9 am till 4 pm, at the Del Rio Elementary School. The bazaar features local and regional crafters and cooks selling unique and affordable, handmade and homemade items. Hot food will be available along with live music. All proceeds go to the Del Rio Volunteer. Fire Dept. More information available at 423-487-3161.
