Lee places holdings in trust
Tennessee Gov.-elect Bill Lee has announced he is placing the holdings of his heating, cooling, plumbing and electric business in a blind trust. Lee said the blind trust is now effective after resigning as chair of Lee Co. which has annual sales of $225 million. The governor elect says he will no longer have communication with the company regarding contracts and other business decisions. Political officeholders create blind trusts where financial advisers manage their financial holdings to avoid a conflict of interest. Lee will take office on Jan. 19.
