A thru Z theft
Newport authorities are investigating the reported theft of excavation equipment which was rented from a local firm. Connie Styles of A thru Z Rentals on the Cosby Road, tells Patrol Officer Jordan Douglas that a JCB skid loader, heavy duty trailer and a front loader bucket were rented on January 9, but have not been returned. Styles says the equipment valued at $55,000 was rented to Sam Simmons, no address given.
