Abandoned animals Cocke County authorities are investigating a recent incident of abandoned animals Deputy Jody Henry said he responded to a home on Whitlock Road where a neighbor, Justin Ensley reported that the unidentified owner of the residence had left the home two months ago and had left the animals inside, after the power had been turned off. According to Ensey, no one had been back to feed or water the pig, two dogs and one cat for two weeks. Officer Henry said there was a strong odor of urine and feces in the home, along with a large amount of trash and clothing. There was no food or water for the animals who were removed from the home and placed in the Friends Animal Shelter.
