The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to request the public’s assistance in identifying a body discovered on Douglas Lake in Dandridge on March 10. A nearby resident found the remains in a bag on the shore of the lake. Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Coffey said the victim appeared to be that of an adult male, and the death is being treated as a homicide with assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. The victim was wearing a Walking Dead tee shirt and blue jeans at the time of the recovery. "We did recover the name “Gerald” from the clothing and there were no visible tatoos,” added the sheriff. He is asking if anyone has any information to please call the Sheriff’s Office 865-397-9411 or the TBI at 1-800-TBI FIND The sheriff has released several photos of identifying aspects of the victim, including the shirt, belt with a flying eagle and belt buckle with a horse head.
