TN Ready is on track
Tennessee districts should have online TNReady scores available by the end of the school year, allowing them to be used in student final grades. Tennessee Department of Education says districts will get online raw scores for high schools by May 20. Paper tests in grades 3-8 were required to be submitted on Monday. About 2 million tests were completed statewide and almost 1.4 million were submitted online, according to Tennessee Education Commissioner Penny Schwinn. The education department said there were minor issues in schools related to user error or local infrastructure limitations, but the state's computer-based testing process was completed without a major incident. This year's testing window marks the first where Tennessee hasn't had issues with its vendor and online testing for TNReady.
