Body in GSMNP
Searchers in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park on Monday found the remains of an unidentified human body after being notified of the remains by an off-trail hiker. Jamie Sanders of the GSMNP Public Affairs office, said the remains were found in an off-trail area of the park, off Laurel Creek Road and they appear to be several months old. The cause of death is under investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
