The Tennessee Highway Patrol says it received a report that there was a U-Haul at the westbound Welcome Center near the 446 mile marker, with children in the enclosed cargo area. When the rental truck was stopped a short later, traveling westbound, troopers found three children under the age of eight, in the enclosed cargo area of the truck, and three adults in the cab area of the truck. A further search of the truck revealed methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, but law officers say there were no child seats in the truck. All three adults are charged with three counts of child endangerment.
