Hembree incident
A Cocke County teen sustained injuries on Sunday when her auto left Highway 160 at 3pm. Maycee Hembree, 17, Stonewall Jackson Drive, Newport told Deputy Sgt. Chris Barnes she was traveling near Warbler Way when an oncoming vehicle came into her lane of travel. Hembree said she swerved in an attempt to avoid a collision and her 2009 Toyota left the right side of the roadway and went up an embankment. The teen who sustained head and back injuries, was taken to the Newport Medical Center by First Call EMS.
