Alan Broyles victim of farm accident
Former Greene County Mayor Alan Broyles died Wednesday in a farm accident on his farm. Broyles of Warrensburg Road in Mosheim died after his farm tractor rolled while he was bush hogging. The Greene County Sheriff's report says Craig White called the sheriff's department at 9:26 pm saying Broyles did not attend a church service as anticipated. He had last contacted family members at 3 pm. Family members found Broyles' at at his home but his tractor was not there. A neighbor, Winfield Taylor took an ATV to search for Broyles, finding him one-half mile from the roadway, on his property. “The victim had been attempting to bush hog an extremely steep hillside,” the report says. The Greene County EMS and Greene Couty Rescue Squad responded to the scene.
