Medic needs blood
MEDIC Regional Blood Center has a current critical need for:O Positive and O Negative blood. Anyone eligible to donate is encouraged to donate this weekend. Kristy Altman, Director of Marketing and Donor Recruitment said the blood used for tragic events and trauma incidents comes from what is currently on the shelf at MEDIC Regional Blood Center. It takes three days for donated blood to be tested, processed and ready for distribution to local hospitals. MEDIC Regional Blood Center is the provider for blood and blood-related products for 25 hospitals in 22 counties. and blood donated in our service area stays in our service. Anyone donating this weekend will receive: a Movie Pass, Coupon for a small Papa Johnís Pizza, Clear MEDIC tote bag and a Fall Specialty T-shirt Information on addresses, hours and the mobile schedule can be found at www.medicblood.org.
