Walters State enrollment is up
Enrollment is up for the sixth straight year at Walters State Community College. The total of 6,281 students are enrolled, an increase of more than two percent over last year. And 4,218 students are attending full-time. “Walters State’s continuous growth is largely due to the value and the quality of the education provided at the college,” says school President Dr. Tony Miksa. “The increase is also a testament to the college’s dedicated faculty and staff members and their commitment to student success. From admission to graduation, we are focused on providing students with the resources they need to be successful and reach their educational goals.” Miksa said the rise in full-time equivalency is key because it shows that on average students are taking more hours, which means they will complete their degrees sooner. Walters State offers more than 150 degree and certificate programs.
