Medicare open enrollment
The 2020 Medicare Open Enrollment is upon us. Between October 15th and December 7th, you will be required to choose a Medicare plan for the next year. You can schedule a review of your plan and/or to pick a different plan. Medicare Representatives will be available: Wednesday October 30th 1pm – 5pm and on Thursday October 31st 9am-12 Noon, at the Cocke County Office on Aging, 440 Eastern Plaza Shopping Center, Newport. Space is limited so you should call (423) 623-7296 ext. 4 to schedule an appointment. Picking a plan is important and now’s the time to think about the Medicare plan that meets your needs. Does the plan cover the services you need? Future health care needs can be hard to predict, but changes happen. Be sure you understand what services and benefits you’re likely to use in the coming year and find coverage that meets your needs. The lowest cost health plan option might not be the best choice for you- consider things like the cost of premiums and deductibles, how much you pay for hospital stays and doctor visits, and whether it’s important for you to have expenses balanced throughout the year.
