Tennessee gas prices Tennessee Gas Prices are holding steady, with today's average at $2.35 a gallon.. Compared to last month, the average is 7 cents higher but 43 cents lower than this time last year. The national average price for regular unleaded gasoline is $2.64 per gallon. "With fall driving season underway, demand in the U.S. is falling allowing prices at the pump to decline," says Stephanie Milani, of Tennessee AAA. "This gradual decline of gas prices is typical for this time of the year, and Milani says we could continue to see prices fall through the end of this year. There are increased concerns however that increased tensions in the Middle East could lead to a disruption in global crude supply.
