Brandon Clark charges
A man who is described as homeless faces Cocke County charges after he allegedly stole a truck and wrecked it. Deputy Joshua Matthews said he responded to Glendale Raod where he met with Dean Hobert who was with 33 year-old Brandon Clark. Clark had allegedly stolen a 2002 Dodge 3500 dually flatbed pulling a seeder, and then wrecked it in the roadway. The suspect reportedly drove the truck through a cable at the end of the driveway, and then struck the embankment heavily damaging the front, sides, back and interior of the truck. Clark said it was “stupid” of him to take the truck because he doesn't know how to operate a manual transmission vehicle. The subject who sustained a fractured shoulder in the crash was jailed on charges of theft of a vehicle, theft over $1,000, driving on a revoked license, failure to report an accident, leaving the scene of an accident, and vandalism over $500.
