Deputy James Cupp said he went to a residence on Jayce Way in Newport in search of Brittany Lynn Reese, 27, Needmore Road, Bybee who was wanted on three counts of failure to appear for a court hearing. At the home, officers observed Spencer Eugene Grooms, 29, Keener Road, Newport, inside however he refused to open the door, and so Deputy Lt. Michael Whitmer kicked open the front door. As a result, Grooms is charged with possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, and the cash was seized.
