Jeff City drug bust
Members of the Jefferson City Police Department narcotics unit and patrol officers executed a search warrant at a Clay Court residence in the city late Tuesday evening. Police Chief Andy Dossett said a search of the residence and a vehicle resulted in the seizure of nearly three ounces of methamphetamine, as well as marijuana, oxycodone, alprazolam, suboxone and a loaded firearm. The following suspects were arrested and transported to the Jefferson County Justice Center: Deanna G. Franklin, 64, Jefferson City; charged with possession of schedule II and schedule III controlled substance with intent to sell or deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of schedules 2,4,5,6 and a legend drug, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and driving while in possession of methamphetamine. Nila R. Yates, 26, Townsend; charged with possession of schedule II controlled substance with the intent to sell or deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance. Stacey C. Hart, 41, Sevierville; charged with possession of schedule II controlled substance with the intent to sell or deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. Benjamin G. Gehring, 35, Baxter; charged with possession of schedule II controlled substance with the intent to sell or deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft. Jacob R. Lethco, 30, Rutledge; arrested on an outstanding capias. Christopher M. Lyle, 44, New Market; arrested on an outstanding capias.
