Conner arrest
A Dandridge man faces charges today in connection with a Tuesday traffic stop by officers with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. Sheriff Jeff Coffey said the Street Crimes Unit, Deputies Joseph Owens and Ransom Douglas, stopped a Ford Taurus on Greenhill Rd in Dandridge for a violation of the state registration law. The officers asked that K-9/Deputy John David Holland respond and he deployed his K-9 partner "Tuko" who alerted on the vehicle. A subsequent search of the auto revealed 22.4 grams of methamphetamine, 6 grams of marijuana, and 58 Xanax pills. The driver, Stephen Leon Conner, 49 of 688 Valley Creek Rd. Dandridge was arrested and jailed in the Jefferson County Detention Center.
