Collins and Short arrested Two men named on sealed presentments returned by a Cocke County Grand Jury last week, now have been taken into custody. Jayren Lee Collins, 21, Woody Lane, Sneedville, is charged with two counts of statutory rape. The incidents allegedly occurred last year and earlier this year. The first offense allegedly occurred when the victim was between the ages of 13 and 15, and the incident earlier this year allegedly involved the victim who was between the age of 15 and 18. Cocke County Detective Bob Schaff investigated the case. Charles Scott Short, 45, Ardon lane, Morristown is charged with five counts of sexual battery. Cocke County Detective Eric Ramsey investigated the case involving the incidents in November of last year. Short is free on a $25,000 bond.
