Jefferson County motorcycle crash
A Cocke County man and a 13-year-old male were injured Saturday when the motorcycle they were riding went out of control in Jefferson County. Trooper Sgt. Jeff Poore said the 4:49 pm crash occurred on Highway 113 near the Lakeside Drive intersection. David P. Bailey, 36 of Newport, operating a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle, was traveling north on Highway 113 when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, over a small earth embankment, and overturned. Both Baily and his passenger, Conrad Morales, Dandridge, were sent to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville. Bailey was sent by ambulance however Morales with minor injuries was transported to the facility by private vehicle. Charges of DUI, Reckless Endangerment and Reckless Driving are pending against Bailey.
