A trucker who escaped injury last Thursday evening in a single vehicle crash on Interstate 40 in Cocke County, now faces charges. Eastbound traffic on the interstate was slowed for several hours after the 5:45 pm crash near the 451 mile marker. Trooper Paul Kilday said Jordan Groves, 32, Seymour was eastbound in a 2019 Freightliner when he fell asleep and left the interstate on the right, striking the guardrail and overturning on the interstate. Groves was wearing his seatbelt and now has been charged with DUI.
