North arrest
A Kentucky man faces charges after he allegedly kicked his father on the head as he drove on Interstate 40 in Cocke County on Monday. Cocke County Deputy Sgt. Wesley Keys was told by Elden North, Barbourville, KY that he was driving near the 444 mile marker when his 19 year-old son, Cory, kicked him on the head. The assault caused the elder North to lose control, and strick the inside concrete retaining barrier. The officer said Elden North had rede marks on the back of his head as well as a red eye as the result of his face hitting the steering wheel. The vehicle sustained a flat tire as a result of striking the barrier, but North was able to steer the auto onto the shoulder of the roadway. Cory North was jailed on a charge of reckless endangerment.
