Cruise Against Cancer
The Hard Times Street Rod Club will hold it’s Sixth-Annual Cruise Against Cancer on Saturday, April 26t, from 6a.m. till midnight. Event Coordinator Nathan Manning says the event will be held rain or shine. In an effort to accommodate a growing crowd, this year's Cruise Against Cancer has been moved to the larger parking lot of Lowe's Home Improvement, located at 120 Epley Road in Newport Cruise Against Cancer is an 18-Hour Cruise In, featuring music, food, games, a silent auction, and other activities. The event is open to all special-interest, antique, or collectible automobiles. Participants may come and go as they please throughout the day, and there is no admission fee, however donations are appreciated. Because the event is a fundraiser, no additional vendor spaces will be available. Funds that are generated will help meet the basic needs of hundreds of cancer patients throughout Cocke, Jefferson, & Sevier Counties. Celebrate Life provides assistance with medical costs, utility bills, gas cards, groceries, prosthetic devices, and various other expenditures with which cancer patients may be struggling.
