Tennessee keeps all US House seats According to the census from 2020, the state of Tennessee continues to grow...in fact Tennessee saw an increase in population of 9% in the latest census....that means that the state of Tennessee will keep all 9 of its US House seats....Republicans hold seven of those nine seats....which is consistent with the GOP’s dominance through most of the state's political seats and offices. The two Democrats who hold U.S. House seats in the state are around Nashville and Memphis...the states two largest metro areas. According to numbers released by the US Census Bureau on Monday....Tennessee's population sits at 6.9 million residents...that is up from the 6.3 million the state had in the last census taken in 2010.
