Keep Cocke County Beautiful
Eight volunteers braved the rain this past Saturday in an effort to keep Cocke County clean. Keep Cocke County Beautiful and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park joined forces to clean the pull offs along the Foothills Parkway in Cocke County. Due to the wet road conditions, it was too slick to safely clean the roadway…the group will gather at a later date to clean up the graffiti. Volunteers on Saturday were joined unexpectedly by a missionary team visiting from Utah and a Jefferson County man enjoying the Parkway. Keep Cocke County Beautiful is an organization that strives to promote a cleaner, healthy environment in Cocke County and protect the county’s natural resources.
