Puckett arrested on robbery charges
A second suspect has been charged in the July 5 robbery of Krystal Holton of Deerfoot Road, Cosby, during a drug deal that went bad. James Franklin Puckett, 28, Dark Hollow Road, Cosby was picked up recently by Detective Bryan Murr. Holton reported a male and two females came by her home wanting suboxone strips and the male offered her $100 for 15 strips. As he counted the strips, the male allegedly motioned to the female driver to drive away. Investigators were told that Holton grabbed for the strips but caught her hand on the door and door frame. The 25 year-old woman reported she was dragged 10 to 15 feet on the gravel in the presence of her three year-old daughter. Deputy Andrew Clark said the injured woman sustained cuts and scrapes to both arms, as well as her chest, stomach and legs. Amanda Dale Green, 30, Park Street, Newport had earlier been charged with robbery in the incident.
