Switzer gets jail time
Another defendant in the Brandon Williams case was in court this week. Brandon of Newport was ten years old in August, 2011 when he was attacked by two dogs who tore off the boy's ears. The owners of the dogs, Anthony Lugar and Jennifer Switzer,pleaded guilty to a charge of allowing dogs to run at large resulting in serious injury. Lugar, 25, Branch Drive,Newport was in court on a charge he violated his probation in the case. Judge Rex Henry Ogle ordered the defendant to serve 120 days in jail and have his probation extended by a year. Switzer, 24, also of Branch Drive, pleaded guilty to a probation violation in General Sessions Court and Judge John Bell ordered her to serve 30 days in jail.
