Cocke motorcycle crash
A Canadian motorcyclist was injured Thursday when her cycle collided with a car in Cocke County. Newport Sgt. Billy Woody said Lyne Boutin, 59, Quebec, Canada was westbound on West Highway 25/70, when she attempted a left turn onto Highway 411 at 10:22 am. The cycle was struck by a 2005 Honda which was eastbound on West Highway 25/70, and operated by Mary C. Adams, 64, Harbor Hills Lane, Dandridge. The officer said the vehicles collided head-on. Ms. Boutin was flown by medical helicopter, from near the scene of the crash, to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Today she is listed in critical condition in the intensive care unit. Ms. Adams who sustained cuts and abrasions, was treated at the scene by personnel with First Call EMS.
