Cosby home destroyed by fire
Cocke County authorities are investigating a mobile home fire which was reported late Wednesday night. Deputy Lt. Steve Johnson said he responded to the fire on the Cosby Highway at 11:36 pm, to find flames shooting from the end of the residence. Edna Webb and her son, Charles, were not at home at the time of the blaze but they arrived as the fire was being fought by the Cosby Volunteer Fire Department. The blaze resulted in heavy damage to the home as the result of the flames, water and smoke. The cause of the blaze and the dollar loss, are undetermined.
