Arrest made in 2006 burglary
A Cocke County man was arrested Saturday in connection with a burglary and theft of property in 2006. David Edward Hall, 55, Old Sevierville Highway, Newport was taken into custody on Saturday in the April, 2006 burglary of the Country Convenience market on Highway 160 as well as Arms Trucking, owned by Eddie Arms. At the time, Detective Murr said the trucking office was entered and then an air conditioning unit was removed from a wall to allow entry into the market. Two floor jacks , two air wrenches and other tools were taken from the trucking garage. Hall is charged with theft over $1,000 and burglary.
