FAFSA deadline is approaching Tennessee students who want two free years of community college or technical school face an impending deadline. High school seniors looking for a Tennessee Promise scholarship must apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by Feb. 15 to be eligible. Last year, Tennessee led the nation with the largest percentage of students completing the FAFSA. Applicants must have financial information and taxes, either current or previous years, with them when filling out the forms. Counselors recommend submitting the information early and communicating with the college of your choice early on.
