Gentry tests positive for meth and is jailed A mother who stumbled as she entered the Cocke County General Sessions courtroom on Wednesday while carrying her infant child, now faces charges. Deputy Chris Barnes said Tiffany Lauren Gentry, 37, Heritage Drive, Newport, dozed as she sat in the courtroom with a friend who was there to answer a charge. As a result Judge Brad Davidson ordered a drug screen of the subject and she was interviewed by a caseworker with the Department of Children's Services. Judge Davidson said Gentry tested positive for methamphetamine and as a result her child, less than a month old, was placed in the custody of a relative. Gentry who said she had just left the hospital and had a prescription for medication, then was jailed on a public intoxication charge.
