Runaway truck Cocke County authorities say no serious injuries resulted last week when a 1999 Ford F350 truck rolled away from a residence on Industrial Road. Lolita Denise Roach told Deputy Sgt. Michael Whitmer that she parked the truck outside her home and briefly went inside, while the truck was running and her children aged 3,4 and 7 were secured in their seats. While Ms. Roach, 29, was inside the home, the truck began rolling, possibly after one of the children pulled it out of "Park." The truck traveled through the lawn, crossed Industrial Road and came to rest in a clump of trees and shrubs. The children did not sustain obvious injuries but one complained that his back hurt. Officer Whitmer said when he arrived on the scene the children were standing outside of the truck, beside the road.
