Holmes body identified The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the body found at a cell tower off Newport Highway last week is that of Jennifer Holmes, 39, who in 2012 resided on Powerglide Way in Dandridge. The cause of death has not been released and the case remains under investigation. According to the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation into the disappearance of Holmes led them to an area off Highway 411) in Sevierville where she reportedly was last seen. Investigators and a K-9 search team later located the body. Sevier County authorities requested the assistance of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Office of 4th Judicial District Attorney General Jimmy Dunn. A family member reported Holmes missing on April 16. She had not been seen since Feb. 28, and investigators on May 13 issued a missing person alert asking the public for help.
